Just show up on a Tuesday. **Do I need to sign up or RSVP?** No — just walk in any Tuesday between 6:30 and 10:00 PM. No registration, no waiver, nothing to fill out. **Do I need to play in tournaments?** No. Casual, non-tournament chess is always available. **What if I'm a beginner?** You are welcome. Most people are not great at chess, including many of our members. We have players of all levels happy to play with and teach newcomers. **Is there a minimum age?** Children ages 6 and up are welcome. That said, the venue is a restaurant and bar that serves alcohol, so parents should factor that in when deciding whether to bring younger children. **Do I need to bring chess pieces?** No. The club provides everything needed for casual and tournament play. **What about USCF membership?** Not required for any of our current events.
